Nursery Information
We want our Child Care ministry to be a place where your child will feel secure and will have an enjoyable time developing new friendships with each other and learn of Jesus' love for them.
We are blessed to be able to care for your most precious possessions. If we can be of any assistance to you, please email or call us at 524-4276.
If you are interested in volunteering in the nursery, please contact our K.I.D.S. Corner (nursery) Coordinator, Margaret Paulzine at 524-3070.
Purpose and Vision
Our purpose is to provide a safe and clean environment for the children while their parents are attending services or special meetings. Our desire is for each child to experience the love of Jesus whenever in our care.
The Mission
This ministry compliments the vision of Outreach Center to reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by reaching the children.Nursery Structure
K.I.D.S. Corner is provided for children up to 3 years of age, and currently there is a class for toddlers and twos. The nursery, and the toddler's and two's class are in two seperate adjoining rooms. Children can be brought to the nursery as early as 15 minutes before the service. The toddler class starts at 10:25 and stops at 11:25. Please pick up your children promptly as soon as the service ends, or at 11:25 if they are in the toddler's and two's class.Nursery Application
We believe that parental envolvement is the key to successful ministry to the children. We ask that parents who make consistent use of the nursery be willing to participate in this ministry. When you volunteer, we ask you to be attentive to all the children and not just your own. We want to make the nursery a happy place by ministering to all the children's needs.Ministry Guidelines
Check-in Procedures
- Each parent or guardian should sign the check-in sheet at the door. Please make us aware of any special instructions concerning your child. Also, whenever you are not in the sanctuary during the service, please make sure you let the nursery workers know where you are. On the sign-in sheet, you can write down special instructions or your location under "comments/instructions".
- Take a red number to secure a safe pick-up for your child after the service. Also, the nursery workers can display the number in the sanctuary if there are any problems.
- Please fill out a nursery questionnaire on your child so we have that information.
- Bringing personal toys is discouraged.
- Each child must have a full bottle or training cup and at least two diapers with him. Please mark all these items with the child's name. If you bring a diaper bag, please mark it with the child's name, too.
- Older children will be given juice and crackers during the service. Please indicate if your child has any food allergies, or if you do not want your child to have juice or a snack.
Check-out Procedures
- Please be prompt when picking up your child at the end of the service. Also, children sometimes become upset when they see other parents coming and their parents do not come to get them.
- Only the parent or person responsible is allowed to pick up the child. The child is ot released to older brothers or sisters or any other person unless arrangements have been made with the nursery workers ahead of time. This is to ensure safety and to maintain order in the nursery.
It our sincere desire that each child has an enjoyable time and that each parent feels seure about leaving his or her child.

- Each child has its diaper changed at least once during the service. Diapers are changed a second time when necessary.
- Only babies and scheduled workers are to eneter the nursery during the service. A baby nursery is provided for nursing mothers. If you feel your child needs you to stay with him/her, please consult with the nursery worker.
- Again, only the parent or person respoinsible is allowed to pick up the child. Workers will not allow older children in the nursery to play with the children.
- A call number will be assigned to you and displayed in the window in the sanctuary when you are needed. Please do not come into the room to check on your child unless reuested by the nursery. Often, when the children see parents they become upset.
